Dear Fellow Republican:
I believe that as we begin to rebuild the GOP in Michigan and nationally, the Youth Chair is one of the most important positions, as they will partner with the next generation of GOP leaders and activists to help engage our peers and drive to victory in 2010!Since declaring my candidacy for Youth Chair, the most frequent discussion I have had with Republicans from all across Michigan is how we engage young voters, not just to volunteer, but to show up at the polls and cast their vote for our local, state and national Republican candidates. As we plan for 2010, this must be one of our number one priorities. I have developed a 5 Point Plan, which, as Youth Chair, I hope you will join me in implementing into the ground game in each county in Michigan. The five points, which are also outlined on the document attached to this e-mail, include:
In the 2008 election cycle, I was honored to serve as the Michigan Youth for McCain Chairman. In that capacity, I visited dozens of high school classes, explaining our conservative ideals, and recruiting volunteers to help with local campaigns and at Victory Centers. I am committed to using the large network of activists to develop new programs to encourage youth activism. At the same time, I was also raising funds and helping coordinate events to bring youth volunteers to targeted Michigan campaigns, including the seventh and ninth congressional districts. Time and time again, I have demonstrated my ability to lead and recruit Michigan’s conservative youth and will proudly continue to do so as your next Youth Chairman. As our Youth Chair, I am committed to working with you in the trenches, side by side, to make 2010 one of the best years ever for the GOP! Of course, if you ever have any questions, please feel free to call me (586) 291-4660 or e-mail me at ppvitale@mac.com. With Convention fast approaching, I hope I can earn your endorsement and your vote! All the best, Pete Vitale Candidate for MRP Youth Chair 12th District GOP Treasurer MFCR Treasurer
